Full Engine Rebuilds
Our workshop facilities in Hull are fully equipped to handle all major engine repairs.
This particular engine arrived at our works with a big end failure, the crankshaft was badly damaged and far beyond reclamation. As the connecting rod parted whilst still running extensive damage was also found to the cylinder block. The lower liner bore was impacted and required specialist welding and sleeve insert. The main piston cooling oil gallery was also damaged this also required welding and inserts.

- All engine components were cleaned calibrated and assessed for further use.
- All spare parts were supplied by Kinston Marine Services and made available for the rebuild after the cylinder block had been repaired by one of our service partners.
The finished engine was shipped back to the customer and is currently running at full load.
